I have been using SCSD's IMTOOLS (imconv and impaste)
to convert bipmap graphics produced by NCARG's ctrans
into GIFs on an SGI, but I now must change to a Linux box.
Checking out the SCSD site indicates that no binaries are
available for Linux and downloading the source indicates
that the installation script is not setup to handle a Linux
arrangement. Doing a google search on Linus and imtool finds
no suitable hits. I was wondering if anyone on this forum
might have tried getting IMTOOLS to work on a Linux box and
if so whether it was successful. I am running RedHat Linux.
