Using NCL to plot limited area model data

Hello,

I am trying to use NCL to plot data from a limited area
model. I have a NCL script (referenced below) which
started as template written by Ethan Alpert a few years ago.
I am trying to modify it for my purposes. I am currently
writing the data from the model to an ascii file
which I then read using NCL.

Unfortunately, I am a definite beginner using NCL and can't
quite debug my problem. For instance, I am trying
to plot the model topography on a domain over the US centered
at 95W, 40N. The ascii file contains a land-ocean mask
for each grid point, the longitude values of the model grid,
the latitude values of the model grid, the mask again (separate
problem), the model topography, and then some other data.

The script currently overlays the map and countour plot.
Unfortunately, the contours appear to be shifted south
and east of the continental outline. An example image
can be viewed at
http://www.essc.psu.edu/~jfd/ncarg.html.

I am unable to determine why the contours are being shifted.
I would greatly appreciate it someone would be willing to
look at my script to see if I am making any glaring mistakes
that I am not catching.

The script can be viewed at
http://www.essc.psu.edu/~jfd/ncarg.html

The data file that I am using is also at that web address.

Thanks for your help,

Jan
