Marker problem

Does anybody have any luck changing the DOT marker size?
I use gset_marker_size to set the marker size and I use points to draw
the markers.
I have no problem changing the size of PLUS, ASTERISK, CIRCLE or CROSS.
But, DOT
markers always show up small on the screen. Is this a bug in
NCAR graphics?
