    Perhaps you have already solved this problem. If not, the two programs
    attached may be of interest ...

    The first program demonstrates three different ways of generating lines
    of the kind you want: 1) by setting the GKS "line style" and calling
    AGCURV to draw the curve; 2) by setting the GKS "line style" and calling
    GPL to draw the curve; and 3) using routines in the software dashed-line
    package DASHPACK. (This program was recently written for someone else
    and was meant to demonstrate a problem that arises when you draw curves
    defined by lots of points that are very close together, a problem you
    may or may not have.)

    The second program demonstrates a capability that I have just added to
    the package DASHPACK, allowing the user to specify symbols to be drawn
    as part of a dash pattern. The updated routines are included.
