    My apologies, but I didn't pay attention to your error message
    earlier. I said it was a bad NGGM, but it's actually simpler than
    that.

    The problem is similar to the one Rick Grubin answered last week about
    how you needed to make sure "ncgm2gif" was on your search path. You
    need to do the same thing with "ctrans", as it is not enough to just
    set the environment variable NCARG_ROOT. Please make sure the
    directory $NCARG_ROOT/bin is on your search path, and your problem
    with ctrans should be fixed.
