missing showpage in ps-file

I am using a relatively simple programm that calls GKS and SPPS
subroutines. Open and closing of the ps workstation is done as follows

      PARAMETER (IWKID=1)
      CALL GOPKS (IERRU, NOTUSED)
      CALL NGSETI('LX',LX)
      GSETI('LY',LY)
      CALL NGSETI('UX',IUX)
      CALL NGSETI('UY',IUY)
      IWTYPE = 26
      CALL GOPWK (IWKID, IRRELEVANT_FOR_PS, IWTYPE)
      CALL GACWK (IWKID)

       ...

      CALL GDAWK (IWKID)
      CALL GCLWK (IWKID)
      CALL GCLKS

In the resulting, 1-page postscriptfile the final showpage command
(defined as S previously in the ps-file) is missing. So I had to
figure that out and than add it manually in order to be able to
print the file.

PS. This e-mail contains a wrong domain in the From: field.
The reason is that mail to ncarg-talk is held in a public archive
and address can thus be harvested by spammers. I am receiving presently
~100 spam mails per day and thus have to protect myself. I will
receive answers through the list, I am subscribed. you can also
replace the number in the address by boku.ac.at.
I would find it a good a idea to put email addresses in the archive
into a non-machine readable form, or maybe just to remove them,
or to password-protect the archive.
