    Hi Edward,

    I'm not sure if your command "ncargex -ft3x01" was a typo, or how you
    really typed it, but try the following:

         ncargex ftex01

    You must have version 4.2.x or later of NCAR Graphics in order to run
    the Fitgrid examples, which "ftex01" is a part of.
