label problems

       Hello,

NCL is "forcing" my plot to be a landscape image, with the top of
the plot on the right and the bottom of the plot on the left. No
matter what I do, I *cannot* get the label bar to appear correctly
on the left side of the screen, underneath the image, and look correct
(so that when you tilt the image, it looks right). If I use the
    resource:

        res@lbOrientation = "Vertical"
        or
        res@lbOrientation = "Horizontal"

...this changes the label bar, but the vertical is wrong is the
lowest numbers are on the wrong side of the label bar. Using the
resource res@pmLabelBarSide produces ZERO change in the plots,
leading me to believe there is some bug somewhere that is not allowing
the label bar to move using this resource.

Is there a way to put the label bar correctly into the image, when
NCL "forces" the image to be a landscape? I'm using the latest
NCL version (26) and can't seem to figure it out from any examples.
    Thanks for any help!!
