Please define the term "curvilinear". Do you mean the GRID is on a
"tangent projection GRID"? Meaning the GRID is already projected
with a projection like Lambert Conformal or Polar Stereo Graphic? Many
GRIB data sets come this way. Is this what you're talking about?

If so the answer is yes for contours and maybe yes for vectors if the
U and V components are relative to the i and j of the grid and NOT
represented in north and east components.

Before I can provide an example could you describe your data better?
