If you're running this on an IBM and if you don't have the very latest
version of the EZMAP code to access the RANGS database, then you have
probably run into a bug that I fixed last November. What I put in the
log about it was this:
This is to get around a problem with the way the function "ICHAR"
works on the IBMs.
As I recall, the problem was that ICHAR was doing sign extension for
characters having a leading bit set, which caused computations of seek
addresses in the RANGS files to be completely screwed up.
Let me know if this seems to apply ...
