I am trying to install v4.0.1 from source on an Origin 2000 running IRIX 6.5.6 with the latest
MIPSpro
compilers. Most of the install seems to go fine, but I do get numerous warnings when building some
of the libraries. I have been able to run some simple tests which create the gmeta files. When I
display
them with "ctrans -d X11 gmeta_filename" I get a memory fault. The files display correctly when
taken
to a Sun system.
Questions: anyone have an idea what the appropriate compiler options should be? (The options
specified in the documentation are out of date for the current compiler.) Has anyone gone through
this exercise and can offer any insights as to what to look out for? Anyone have any ideas about
the
memory fault?
Thanks for any help.
