Autograph, top label control

I have problems to control the top label in the Autograph background.

      CALL AGSETC('LABEL/NAME.','T')
      CALL AGSETR('LINE/NUMBER.',100.)
      CALL AGSETR ('LI/CH.',0.035)

has no effect, whereas

      CALL AGSETC('LABEL/NAME.','L')
      CALL AGSETR('LINE/NUMBER.',100.)
      CALL AGSETR ('LI/CH.',0.035)

for the y-axis label works well.

What's wrong?
