Hi,
I've been using our old version of NCAR Graphics (version 4.0.1) on a
bare-bones system for a little while now and I'm very happy with the
way it is working. I'm considering upgrading to NCAR Graphics 4.1,
but I want to make sure it won't exhaust the resources on my machine.
The machine is an old Sun Sparcstation 2 running RedHat Linux 5.2.
It has 64MB of memory and about 500MB of free disk space.
Part of this is an intellectual exercise, and part is out of financial
necessity. I can either upgrade NCAR Graphics this year or buy an upgraded
machine, but not both.
Will NCAR Graphics 4.1 work on my old machine?
Any information is appreciated.
Thanks.
-Harry
