The ngmath library is indeed written in C. That doesn't mean,
however, that you can't write Fortran code and use the library; there
is a Fortran interface available.

There you'll find documentation on the function interfaces available
to you, as well as examples of how to use the library from the
Fortran calling interface. Lastly, within the NCAR Graphics source
code tree, there is a directory of examples (and how to build them)
in: $NCARG_ROOT/ngmath/src/examples/edsgrid
