    I go even a bit further in the way Kate described. The described
    procedure is fine but you have always to reconsider scaling when your
    plot changes its geometry.
    To make it a bit more automatic I take the values of the "Bounding
    Box" got on the output of ps2epsi. A small program reads those
    values, consider how to scale/translate/rotate the picture for the
    best fit to the target paper format and then edits the original
    postscript file. It works for NCAR Graphics direct postscripts only
    (not for outputs of ctrans).
