AIX 32/64 bit

I am working on the IBM Nighthawk system at MHPCC. Do to the fact that I
wish the use more than 2 GB of memory for my program I am required to
compile in 64 bit rather than 32 bit. Unfortunately when I do this my
current version of NCAR Graphics is 32 bit which causes compilation
problems. I am wondering if anyone knows if the pre-compiled binaries
for AIX (version 4.2.2) were created in 32 and/or 64 bit? Also has
anyone had this problem before and if so how did they deal with it?
