Hi Pete,

Yes, this is because you are using new Sun Fortran while the libraries
were built with old Sun Fortran. They made an incompatible change
when going from version 1.4 to version 2.0 (when they introduced the
license manager).

NCARG version 4.0 only works with the new Sun Fortran. Your choices
are to upgrade or to compile the libraries yourself.
