Does anyone know of a filter/printcap that can take the NCGM output from
the NCAR graphics and convert it to an X11 pixmap or image? We need to take
the graphical streamline and contour output of ncarg and place it onto a
home-grown map (pixmap) as an overlay. Our fallback is to use ctrans to
produce a postscript file and use the XR5 postscript extensions to
assimilate it. The second choice is to use ctrans to make a xwd and
assimilate it. However, the image extensions have desireable graphic
effects on resizing and zooming that could make our life easier.
