Appendix A. Codes Used to Generate Graphics in the NCAR GKS documentation modules

Most of the Fortran codes that were used to generate the figures in the GKS documentation modules (that is, those modules accessable from the GKS Homepage) are available via the ncargex command. The codes available from "ncargex" produce an NCGM by default, but "ncargex" has an option, "-Wnn", where "nn" is an NCAR GKS workstation type, that allows for PostScript or X11 output instead of NCGM output.

The graphics in the GKS documentation modules were originally created using workstation type 23. The output PostScript was then converted to GIF for inclusion in the on-line modules.
